Cloning or Spores?

I only have one jar of LC and was wondering what my best bet would be, maybe some of you can help and give some input.

The advantages to cloning are obvious over those of injecting a spore solution into a LC. However, because I only have jar of LC I want to avoid possibly contamination at all costs.

The cloning tek I would follow is the one where you use a sterilized syringe to stab through the stem and then inject into a liquid culture. My area is not as sterile as I would like it to be so I was thinking about just injecting some spore solution in there to save myself the possibility of contamination, or at least GREATLY reduce it.

What do you guys think.

On a side note, when looking for a clone what do "you" prefer? e.g. First one up, Largest, Fastest, etc.

Well you get a fully colonized jar follow the great advice in this thread and than make LC from that http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=2&Number=6344843&PHPSESSID=&fpart=1#Post6344843 do it an a glovebox and you shouldn't have any problems,and you sure as hell wont have to worry about running out of LC
