History/Discovery Channel are cool. 90% of the TV I do watch though is Comedy Central (but even that doesn't take a whole lot of my time)

As said before, video games and movies are what I use mine for most often.

I hate MTV with a passion, but I do have a soft spot for Wild Boys and Rob&Big

Yes there is a lot of crap on TV but there is also a lot of good on it too. Comedy Central all of the Discovery channels you know like the food channel, TLC, the History channel, the Science channel and more. You just got to stay a way form crap like MTV...

i use my tv for movies and lost. that's about it.

can't you say the same thing about computers and the internet though unifloo? we're doing a little better in that atleast we're interacting, but we're still wasting time and absorbing stupid ads. i watched a movie trailer online earlier today, and what did i have to watch before the trailer would start on the internet? a commercial. i had to watch a commercial to see a movie trailer!!! a movie trailer is a already commercial!! i had to sit through a commercial to watch a commercial! i only have one game on my computer right now and that's counterstrike, and the program that you need to run counterstrike with is steam, and steam is such bullshit because it's full of ads that i dont want to be getting. i paid for the game, why do i deal with fucking ads. laame.

I just cancelled my cable ($80/month) and got Netflix ($10/month) instead. Wasn't just about money though. Feels really good.

95% of TV blows, but there is some seriously cool stuff. Prison Break on Fox is awesome and the History/Discovery channel have some good programming.
