Get your television and smash it up
    #6455620 -

Seriously, get that piece of shit and throw it out your window. "Reality" shows about a crowd of idiots wanting to become
singers/models, commercials flogging bullshit products that we dont need. Half the country including my own family just sits
there for the greater part of the day in a kind of ignorant stupor...

"oh you dont have to think or be creative or do anything worthwhile,
just sit here and watch this fucking box for the evening"

end rant

Hi how's it going, wanna kick Heroin basically painlessly on your own, in your own house, without any government "help" ,or the "help" of a crazy condescending, judgmental medical doctor? Read this:

Plus, it's not much different than sitting in front of your current screen for a while.

At any given time there seems to always be a tv on in my house, and the people watching are at the time of their lives when they really need to start developing new interests/getting out more. I almost feel sorry for 'em. I remember I had been abroad camping a couple of years ago, no tv/radio or any kind of media for three weeks.

I came home and my whole family was sitting around the living room in a trance, slaves to the watered down crap that was fed to them...
That was a shock

The internet is different, you can actually choose what you want to see/do. It can be an endless outlet for information/creativity

Although im sure people do sit watching bullshit on youtube for hours

Yeah, I'm all about those information/education channels; the history channel, history int, science, discovery, discovery times, national geographic, the learning channel, the animal planet. That stuff, plus Family Guy & the Simpsons are pretty much all I'll watch.

Yeah, when I get down to it, adding my favorite shows (*simpsons) and the history channel shows on Egypt and Illumnati , I'm quite the slave.

When I watch the tele, I try to multi-task so I don't feel so lazy. Still though, it's nice to just veg out every once in awhile.

I watched a great documentary on the history of beer on the history channel while I was kicking junk a couple of weeks ago.

Sounds like your problem isn't television itself, but rather the kind of programming that is popular on network TV. I think I'll keep my TV. I'm watching the History Channel right now.

I do think the television is an invention that would have better gone uninvented.

I currently don't have any tv service or rabbit ears. I miss it when I'm eating, but I got movies
