he spent 13 summers out in the alaskan wild with wild grizzly bears. He would walk up to wild bears and touch them on their noses. He then was eaten by a bear that thought he looked like a good source of food.

Damn, I didn't know that he got eaten! I'm going to have to watch that shit, now. I saw a commercial with him saying, "I am the only one protecting these animals!"

I was wondering when that was going to happen. The poor fool. It was neat to see him interact w/ those bears though.

Timothy was very odd!~
here are some articles from google on Timothy Treadwell for those that haven't heard of him...
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Timothy+Treadwell&btnG=Google+Search
----
I saw the Grizzly Man movie when it came out on DVD...then again on the discovery channel.
there is also a follow up to the Grizzly Man movie...that the people that knew him talk about him more in depth.
that was pretty interesting too.

you must have missed the part where they really explained his death. He went back to his area at a time he was usually not there, his normal bears were in hibernation and other bears that he didt know had taken to the area. He was killed by one of these bears just hours after proclaiming any "normal" person wouldn't be able to do what he did without dying.
He was a nutcase, but i respect what he was doing. Definitely a good watch, he cracked me up for two hours, especially when he got excited over one of his bears poop.

The guy was a fucking idiot and deserved everything he got, it's sad he fooled that poor lady into coming with him and got those two bears killed. He wasn't protecting anything, he was prancing around the alaskan wilderness like a damn fairy.
You don't habituate bears and people or both wind up dead, end of story.

The audio file did exsist but the only man who listened to it requested it be destroyed and the loony toon who had it probably did just that, damn shame too, I would of enjoyed it.

No video. They have an audio that they will not release. They said that the problem was the low salmon run that moved all the bears into the area where he was staying. Not to mention the fact that he was in a camouflaged camp because the forest service wanted him to move. The bear may have just ran upon him.
On the follow up the "loony toon" that has the audio said that she has not destroyed it.

There was 2 garbage bags filled with parts of human. It would seem that a bear tears up a human and eats it like we eat chicken.

I don't know but all they found of him was his skull and his hand with a small portion of his wrist with his watch still attached. They had to kill the bear for the rest of him They should of just followed it around and waited for him to be shit out, then he would of had a proper burial.

I don't see why? I'm not an animal rights person or whatever but that doesn't sound fair. What's the point of recoevering slightly digested remains.
