MLB-Braves

I seriously think the Braves are going to be the team to watch next season. With Hampton, Hudson, and Smoltz pitching 1,2,3 in the rotation and with the experience LaRoche, McCann, Francoeur, and Langerhans gained last season the Braves will be serious contenders to win their division.
Also graduations to Cal and Tony Gwynn for getting into the Hall of Fame.

Braves have always been my team, mainly because everyone around here has always been bid cardinals fans and I like to differ from eveyone else.
I still think that Smoltz needs to just be a closer, but then again thats why I'm not a MLB coach. :wink:
If the braves would actually spend half the money the Yanks do they would be a great team, since they do have the best coach to ever live.

Cox is great, obviously, but The Braves have had too much trouble closing the deal in the post-season for me to consider him the 'best ever'. I think The Braves need to start trying to get involved in things like recruiting from Japan. I also think they might be cursed for not naming Turner Field after Hank Aaron.

I like the Braves, and they should always be considered a contender, considering they won the division for what -- 14 straight years or something?
