For a 5 gallon bucket.
Cost $5.
Lowes & HomeDepot.

All you need is h/poo, bucket, drill, mixer blade & water.

Takes the hands on work out of it.

mixer blade? isnt that thing a mixer and a blade itself? sorry i'm having trouble picturing it ....... i like the looks of that thing though.... would save some time........ seems like you'd still have to break the shitt nuggets down some.... but maybe not ...... it would DEFINITELY ease the work of mixing to get proper hydration once its broke down though ......... i've spent about an hour just flipping and mixing a tub of shitt till it was all perfect... and that was after it was chopped..... looks like a nice toy ...i'll have to pick one up for the collection.... thanks Agar

did you chop/shred the poo when it was dry or wet? i need an easy way to shred dry.... besides using a wood chipper

Nice find,I know breaking up dense nuggets is something that I do not especially enjoy,I Don't see myself buying poo again anytime soon but I bet when I do I will be looking for one of those,Book marked for future reference

I never had an issue of hand shredding h/poo.
Not something I got off on, but managed.

Obviously, if you are going to do volume.
Buy an electric lawn/garden shredder.

(nicknamed the MUFFIN BUSTER)

yeah hand shredding isnt to hard for most but it is manual labor and time consuming.... i mostly try to chop it with a shovel till it looks right.... thats a nice shredder in that pic though.... what do those things sell for? is that the technical name for it? whats it used for exactly? any kind of limbs and brush and stuff? that would be awesome for me in combination with the mixer blade up there ..... my hands are arthritic from years of weightlifting and going crazy on the punching bag....... you saved the day Agar ... thanks again bro

It's no monster.
But, it eats h/poo faster than a 100 horse herd. :wink:

It's not noisy, either.
Get 2nd hand feed bags, from the feed store (cheap).
To use as a catcher.
Use a bungee cord to secure the bag to the exhaust chute.
Wear eye protection & a dust mask.

The feed chute is high impact plastic.
With a 1.5 or 2 inch opening slot.
So, idiots cannot stuff big wooden limbs in it.

I used a saber/jig saw to enlarge that opening.
So, I could shovel h/poo into it.
Otherwise the big nuggets plugged the smaller feed slot. :mad2:

If you are just feeding it just dry h/poo.
It will eat it a lot FASTER than you can shovel it in.

Hmm... I don't really chop my poo up.

I just break it up with my hand after pasteurization while laying into my mono tubs.

Am I missing out on something by not shredding my poo??? Does it make a better Consistancy or something? Does it really matter?
