A QUICK QUESTION....NEED FAST REPLY PLZ

I prepared some 1/2 pint pf jars, they were sterilized in a pressure cooker for about 50 min at 15 psi. Is it ok for them to chill out in the closet for about a week be4 i inject them, I dont have the spores yet and am wondering if i fucked up. Will the brf start fermenting or am i ok. plz help. thx

You should be ok.

Remember, you pressure cooker is airtight (thats how the pressure builds up). As long as you don't open the pressure cooker, you're ok. All of the air in the cooker is sterilie. Open the cooker and your sterility is gone.

OK this is exactly what i did w/ the jars after they were cooked and cooled. I grabed the box the jars came in and sprayed the shit out of it w/ lysol.and closed it. washed my hands alot. opened up the cooker and put them in the box, and put the box in my closet. would that make a big difference compared to keeping them in the pressure cooker?? please help me.

I'm going to have to change my idea to what vatoloco said.

Scrap them and do some more when you get your syringes. Its not worth wasting the spores on a substrate that is questionable.

They should be fine, if they have contams in a week it should be pretty apparent.
If they were properly sterilized and sealed, they will stay sterile for a long time.

I usually let my jars sit for a week anyway.... if there are no contaims in a week i go ahead with the innoculation.

yeah I do!

Anno says that if you sterilize your jars and keep the lids on tight they will last a long time.

so.....If you have them sealed.....I'd say your fine.
If you didn't seal them......I'd redo them.
