DAMNED things won't PIN!

i've colonized my cakes well. i've put them in a terranium with good humidity. i dunno the exact humidity, but its humid enough that the water i spray on the sides of the terr. have not evaporated.
k, so i got goo humidity.

my cakes recieve great light. i have a lamp RIGHT beside the terr. and the cakes are well exposed.

temperature is low, about 22-25C, which is about 60-70f.

they've all been the the terranium for about 10 days, one has been in there 2 weeks.

k, i'm getting really scared because i dont want to by another 30$ syringe.
i'm wondering if i should try putting the cakes in the fridge or what.
if i do put them in the fridge, do they go in for 2 hours, or 2 days?

i need all the help i can get to fruit these guys.

also, whats this dunking the cakes in milk, water, or honey??

sorry, i forgot to mention i fan it well a few times daily.

i'll try the dunking with one of the cakes and see how it goes. thanks for the help

and i'd appreicate more input and suggestions

Well,
My personal experience with EQ's is that they dont fruit fast. They've taken the longest of any strain, except the one that Im dealing with right now...PES Amazonian.

Your temps might be on the low side, thus taking longer to pin as well. Try getting it up to 72 on average. You've already cold shocked them with that temp, so dont worry about putting them in the frige. You might wanna dunk if nothing happends after another 5 days....

those temps are WAY to LOW! that's exactly the reason they're slow going! the ideal growing temps are between 74-78 degress F for cubes.. anything below 70 and sometimes they won't even grow at all.

your humidity sounds ok, keep the air exchange up, and definatly get the temperatue up! that's your problem my friend, without a doubt!

when u say "fan the shroomiz" you mean to open the terrarium and use a fan to fan them for a while? if not this then what?

No.
Use a newpaper, a book, a piece of carton...and move it up and down atop of the terrarium to fan the air out of the terrarium.

Angryshroom, when you say they don't fruit fast, how long are we talking here? Mine took more than 2 weeks to show pins. I've read elsewhere that 2 weeks should be the max if you're doing everything right.

Also, Ive JUST started with some Amazonian jars, how long did those take to form pins?

Growing is both pinning and fruiting, i think pinning require a colder temperature than fruiting, temperature diferential is also a pinning triger, that diferential is more than minus 10F than the incubating temp, it means cake incubating at 84F needs 74F - 72F to initiate pinning, not a rule by all means but i've worked this way with success.

I'm growing at natural temps (66F - 70F) and i haven't observed this. What they need is oxygen (TONS !!!) and a steady Rh.
