no pinning - what am i missing?

Ok, I've been reading up on cultivation techniques, and trying my hands at growth
since February, but still having no luck.

I've been trying this amazonian strain (or mexican, the store wasn't very reliable),
and I haven't been able to get the cakes to pin (using the PF tek, with the perlite
humidification tek).
Right now the temperature in the terranium is between 80 to 86 F, and humidity
is in the high 90s all the time. I'm also fanning it out a few times a day to get
rid of the built up CO2, and once a day I turn on the heat blanked (under the
terranium) to get the temperature up a bit.

This is the second time I have cakes in the terranium, and this time they've been
in there for about 5 days. I've left a few of them standing on the jar cover, to
separate them from the perlite, a couple of them have straws in them to get them
some extra water, and a few are standing directly on the perlite.
Neither is pinning, not even a small sign.

The mycelium looks pure white, and is nice a fluffy, most of the cakes don't look
dried out at all, and the smell coming from the terranium is very 'mushroomy'.

But the problem is pinning. All cakes have been in jars for about a month and a half,
and some have been coldshocked overnight in the fridge to get them to pin, but
nothing.

I'm wondering if I did something wrong, or if I'm missing something. Does anyone
have any suggestions?

Lower your temps to around 74-76. First signs of pinning usually take a week + a few days all depends tho. Give them time.

hi
additionally to cold shocking you can scratch the surface of the cakes with a clean fork etc. (just a little bit).
Use light to enlighten your shrooms.
Wait more than 5 days!
