Do religious beliefs influence dreams?

I have a friend who is a J-Dub and he often dreams of 'end-of-the-world' type stuff. I consider myself Daoist, and I'm often dreaming of being in woods with other people, musical instruments, nature. My wife is agnostic, her dreams seem to be the everyday-nothing-fancy variety. Another friend was raised catholic and he's often frightened by old beliefs.

So, do you think religions we were raised with, that we once believed in or even current religious ideals we have may play a role in our unconscious minds at night? My wife doesn't think so, but I was curious of what you all think.

The dreams you have when you are unconscious pull many elements from your conscious mind, so it seems only obvious that you religious beliefs would express themselves in your dreams..

yeah if you don't think it when your awake how are you going to dream it?

but I am not very religous and always ignored the church growing up, my dream usually evolve around woman and other objects of desire, like ice cream and shit.
