unclear on mono-tub holes.

Am I supposed to have my holes completely taped off while my bulk substrate is colonizing, or should I have them (or some of them) stuffed with polyfil with a blanket over it to stagnate the air?

taping worked out best however i also had the polyfill in there and didnt really notice problems.

both works.

aight...you want NO holes during colonization...that promotes co2 buildup which is acctually good for the colonizing mycilum...then when it is done colonizing you would introduce it to fresh air...aka holes stuffed w/ polyfil

I just overstuff with polyfill during colonization and take some out for fruiting.

Yeah, I think that's the best mono-tub tek on the site besides ohmatic's. I notice monstermitch doesn't tape up his holes, but I've seen people say both things around the shroomery, so I had to ask.

I have holes and I have a small amount of polyfill in. Not too much, and I leave them like that all through colonization and everything.
