Vermiculite Question II

Ok, my friend has continued his search for a coarser grade of vermiculite. But he wanted to know if what he had (fine grade) was usable for anything? Could it be used for casing material or is it bad for that too. Reason is the place he found it is too far from his house to make returning it really worth the money.

I always use the fine grade. Never had a problem. For casing material I would mix it 50/50 with peat though.

Fine grade works good. Coarse also works well.
