intentionally not sleeping
    #6319606 -

Is it pretty bad for you? I am thinking of missing a night or two of sleep just to see what happens. The last few nights I've been laying in bed awake for a long time before I fall asleep. Plus I could probably do extra stuff (not that I would do extra useful stuff).

How about tossing drugs into the mix?

Yeah, it's pretty bad for you. I wouldn't do it unless I was going for a record, which would be negated by any speedy drugs.

If it's only a couple of days, you should be alright (don't quote me on that though) Expect a night of CRAZY dreams when you finaly do go to sleep though... Awsome for lucid dreams.

two summers ago i stayed up for three nights in a row.. thanks to high doses of adderall. it was amazing. i was completely occupied at all times online, finding sweet sites, and usually being overly occupied, having about five sites up at once.
of course, i hardly left my room, except to the bathroom. i never even went downstairs, or left the house, or ate any food. it was great though. i loved it. the fourth day i completely passed out.

i'd pull more allnighters now, except that nothing occupies me for more than a few hours. i usually end up just going to sleep because i get so bored and restless. and i really don't enjoy taking adderall when i have to deal with people, it leaves me feeling sooo spacey. and living in the dorms, i'm constantly having to deal with people either from my hall or in class.
i'd be pretty fucking happy to find something other than a speedy drug to keep me up for a few nights.
oh yeah.
and one time less than a year ago, i was having trouble sleeping, i forget why. but the next morning when i was getting ready for school, i felt so odd.. and i had to drive to school, along with pick a friend up. and i got in the car, and turned it on, and everything felt too weird. the way the engine felt was extreme, and i thought something was wrong with my car but i kept driving anyway, the way the road felt was weird, i never felt it like that before.
anyway, besides driving sleep deprived. i like it. and wish i could be sleep deprived more often :]

It's extremely unlikely that anything bad will happen. When you throw drugs into the mix, anything can happen though

You will probably notice your mind acting much differently than usual though. After you sleep again you should be relatively back to normal. I think the record was something like a week or two without sleep, and AFAIK, the guy (a radio DJ) recovered fully after catching up on rest.

It will suppress your immune system and make you more susceptible to diseases, but it won't kill you. (Unless you're unlucky enough to get infected by something lethal.) I've stayed awake for more than 48 hours before and I'm still here.
