cannot sleep again.
    #2884790 - 07/13/04 04:12 AM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I have got insomnia again and it is quite annoying. I have been up for a few day's only getting 4 hours sleep at a time and the sleep debt is starting to catch up.

I guess I am just wanting to vent for a bit. I feel beter about it now. Thanks

Man, 4 hours would be lucky for me, usually I go for days without any sleep at all. But I understand your aggrivation anyhow.

Try using some melatonin.

I whent out and bought a bottle of melatonin. I tried it the past two day's and it works quite nice! The only problem so far is that I am now having problems waking up on time... I overslept the alarmclock by 2 hours now two day's in a row. I am probably just catching up on some needed sleep.

How much are you taking? You may need to cut back a little on your dose- it sounds like you are taking more than you need.

Also, I wouldn't recommend taking melatonin more than two or three nights in a row because most people develop tolerance to it. Use it off and on.

I take 1 30mg pill when I am going to bed. I just did some reaserch and found out that 3mg is plenty. these pills I got from the local GNC herbology store, and the clerk told me these were extra strength. I will cut the pills in quarters from now on and use when needed.

Thanks for the informing me on the dose, I would not have known otherwise.

Holy crap! Yeah, cut them in quarters for sure..if you could manage to cut them in fifths it'd be even better. I take about 3-6 mgs 2 or three times a week. If I take more than that I wake up feeling groggy and out of it for several hours. I don't know why they would even make pills larger than 5-6 mgs anyway. That's just plain crazy!

Don't forget to not take them very often because there is a definite tolerance buildup.

Are you sure its not only 3mg and not 30?? All I've seen at GNC are 1 mg and 3 mg pills. If you're taking the 3's try taking the 1's instead.
