snow, already! ughh :frown:
well to me, it really looks like this season is coming to a hault, and fast. its snowed two days in a row, and the temperatures are dropping dramatically. 5 of 7 of the days this week will have a low of freezing-veryfreezing temps. which means the mushrooms will rot, and die off. this is very irritating because i just started finding them early nov, and now its pretty much over....i cant say how dissapointed and angry i am :mad2:

well, it looks like im gonna have to hit up all my spots tomorrow and pick everything in sight, cuz my guts telling me they are all gonna die off anyway...SOON.

am i overreacting or are my feelings pretty accurate?
what are your guys' takes on the current mushroom circumstance we all have on our hands here?

Drive down the coast and get some... The snows will hinder the mushrooms, however you will still find some if it lets off for a while.

i think your overreacting a bit. this is supposed to be a very warm winter, i wouldnt be surprised if the snow melted and that cold shock threw pinning into hulk hogan force. dont get sad about it just yet, just play it out and see what mother deals ya.

yup, hard to find shrooms when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground and more on the way. it took me an hour to free my jeep from its ice prizon, just to have it 200% completely stuck in the parking lot...

I don't think the snow is the biggest problem... have you looked at the low temps for the next week? Well below freezing (19 degrees tonight!) for several nights. That's what's going to finish them. We'll see how things look if the temps pick back up later this week......

Maybe you haven't found the pounds of shrooms we all have wet dreams about... but I promise they will be back next year.

Sure, the Cyanescens may or may not be back in full force again this year, depends upon where you are. But it is OK. Enjoy what we've got!

i have had the worst season found one teensy weeknsy patch of cyans and hunted many times old patches were all empty and now the snow! i'm almost ready to give up

Chill out, even if the season is over there's always next year.  You are privelaged enough as it is living in one of the best places in world for mushroom hunting.  It could be worse; you could live in Minnesota like me. :smirk:
