Today as I wnet waking I found these little lbms. My goodness they were so cuyte and alling out to e that I heard them from almost a blcok away. I could feel their presence in the air. What more can I then say but It is an honore, nay a privelage to present to you, todays early Christmas gift,
The

magnificent Cyanescens which everyone is looking for.

Click on image to enlarge. Here we have a total of 106 mushrooms in less than a 15 minute picking spree.

God I would love to have one of those grocery shopoing sprees, I could pick put all of the right foods in such a short time that I would win it all.

Oh I pray for that lottery ticket.

Mj

You mean like the one I discovered today that had little flea like bugs in it?

It was literally thye first cyan I ever picked but I think its heading for my mulch patch!

I also imagine that the older ones [past prime and blueing all over] have less actives... am I right?

Peace!

Well, thats an interesting debate, on one hand the bigger mushrooms have more mass and therefore more active chemicals per weight. Mushrooms are most potent right before the break the viel but they are not usually very big at that point. When they get old and start to oxidize and get eaten by slugs and other pests then they must start losing a greater deal of the active chemicals. However, they will still take you into the land of mushroom intoxication. I wasnt saying your mushrooms looked bad, its just been a shitty year with not enough moisture and colder than usual temps so they tend to oxidize quick and pass their peak potency even quicker. Probably 20% of the cyans i have seen this year have been very funkified and not fit for harvest, highly unusual. Anyway, peace.
