Cooling Jars???

After Pr. Cooking Grain Quart Jars- Is it possible to leave jars out of pr with foil
on jars & polyfil filter Or will it contam???If so Can You throw them in the Fridge w/o having to worry about contams?

Do they have to be cooled right away for some reason? I would just leave them in the PC.

dont put them in fridge-cooling glass fast will cause it to break-

The pressure cooker being used only holds 4qt jars at a time. When doing all 12 jars I dont have time to let the jars cool in the pr. Cooker. Seems that throwing them in a garbage bag with alcohal/peroxidse on the bottom, hosed down with lysol would do the trick for cooling jars safely & effectively?

if you need to take the jars out so you can re-use your pressure cooker, i would just go ahead and do it. the filters should help keep contams out. if you put them somewhere and let them cool slowly, it should draw in external air at a minimum speed.

the lysol soaked bag probably would be cool, and maybe the 'oven tek' would also be a viable alternative. either way, i just wouldn't put them in the fridge or some quick-cool situation.

Thanks Everybody!!! Great News-
Checked out all 12qt Jars- They have been sitting at room temp in garbage bag now for 4 1/2 days & there is no signs of contams!!! They are cool to the touch and have no signs of Bacillus!!! Thursday the Jars will be innoculated with pics to follow when they are colonizing...
