Cause and effect. From what I have witnessed thusfar, the hierarchy of importance, which you have stated is "not so much about action as it is about intention", is much more about interpretation, more about action, and less about intention. Someone else perceives an action and interprets it, and they tend to react to their speculative interpretation moreso than the action itself. One's intent in the action is conveyed in a subtle manner, if at all. Intention is not immediately perceptible, and yet people typically instantly react. What is it they are reacting to? Mostly their interpretation of the action, and the action itself.

I guess "intention" was a bit vague. What I was referring to was the vibes they give off. One's actions tend to coincide with their vibes, but I think that the vibes are the causal force behind their karma, not the actions themselves. It's often easy to sense the positive or negative vibes that one is giving off, and I think those vibes attract similar energy around them.

Well, it certainly wasn't a "30 to 0 in one second" brake. In fact, the impact was felt as I was starting to move my foot back towards the gas pedal. It was totally like "what the fuck?!". :nonono:

I'm not concerned about karma, or being in the wrong or not, which has nothing to do with karma.

One's "sense" of vibes is likely much less a sense and much more within the realm of interpretation. To stick with the example that I have provided, I would have been perceived as an object in another vehicle. I'm not sure how much psychic vibes were being beamed through two vehicles and a stretch of intersection, but I'm sure it would be similar to the amount projected by a flag-signaler being observed by a Boy Scout with binoculars. :smirk:

Its impossible to stay under the radar anymore. When I tripped last Saturday, there was one point where I thought I was dying, something about my genetics not serving their purpose and our genetics in general being all fucked up, and then some sort of aircraft hovered over our house (likely a helicopter, as we do live near an aircraft), but it felt like end-of-the-world bombing was about to occur, and then I had these flashes of the grey aliens, which is a thought I do not enertain or consider....

Point being, you can't stay under the radar.

This trip means that you should make many, many babies before the alien invasion. We will need more humans to fight the invaders.

Joking aside, it's not a matter of your vibes being sent from one car to another. It's rather the fact that the other driver's negativity attracted negative consequences.

I totally agree.  I believe negative and positive actions ripple through us just due to basic human nature.  You ever get a smile from a complete stranger? maybe even a good looking one?  Something small like that can turn your whole day around.  You will likely respond by doing something good natured.

Same goes for negative actions.  Odds are that this person will pass his negative thoughts from this incident onto another person who will then pass it on to someone else.

I believe if everyone could make a point of simply taking a negative situation sucking it up, letting it go, maybe even turn it into a positive one if possible the ripple effect would over time change the world.

Eventually your positive action might just get returned to you

My thoughts exactly.

FWG....it wasn't your karma in action in this situation. It was the aggressive drivers karma in action.

Which is, I'm sure, why you made a post about karma and proceeded to defend yourself when people said you were in the wrong.

Also, did you miss my post earlier on?

Indeed, but then my emotional charge attracted the consequences that they did as well, right? I'm not even sure what charge that would be. Some could interpret the flipping them off as being caused by a negative, emotional state, but I'm not so sure about that.

I was proposing something for discussion. Clearly, the story must be put in a specific context, or else it would just be a random story not fit for this forum. Speculation on intention is a slippery slope, and this thread continues to highlight this. Also, the analysis that my subsequent responses to points presented (i.e. discussion) was my proceeding to defend myself is more speculation.

Fair enough. Perhaps you would enlighten us to your actual intentions if you don't like speculation

Considering the fact that I have already quoted part of that post and replied to it, I guess that there was another aspect of the post that you feel I should respond to. Please outline it and I will do so. If you were unaware that I had already responded to that post, please return to page one and check it out.

As far as my intentions are concerned, I believe I saw the individual in my rear-view mirror, speeding up and acting as though the power his machine was displaying was to convey some sort of righteous authority, and I thought to myself "This asshole is behind me, thus, I am in a position of influence. If he chooses to ride my ass, then he is going to have to do so at 10 mph." I certainly had not intended on being struck by another fucking vehicle, but one could speculate that perhaps this individual was. More likely is that he simply could not control his vehicle.

The moron probably would have tried to pass me on the two-lane road with vehicles parked on both curbs if he hadn't hit my truck. Either way you look at it, he was clearly bringing danger to the road. One could assert that it was not safe for me to deaccelerate my truck, yet, if I was in a position in which it would not be safe for me to do so, then there was no action that I could have taken that would have been considered safe. I cannot find solid ground for an arguement that I was "in the wrong".
