graphics card help
    #6292066 -

Well shit. I never buy pc games and I went and got Medieval 2 Total
War today, only to find out my graphics card isn't up to par. What is a decent one with Pixel Shader 1.1 that doesn't cost too much?

How much are you willing to spend? http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=48 go there, and on the left click your price range.. I personally enjoy Nvidia over Radeon. Any one of these cards will support that game.
Edit: And make sure you know whether your computer uses AGP, or PCI- Express, what kind of computer is it? If it is an older machine or a Dell.. it most likely uses AGP.

Search newegg.com or tigerdirect.com for something in your price range. The higher amount of on-board ram, usually it will be better for gaming.

I would too advise to get an nVidia based chipset. I have an ATI card what works pretty well, but, nVidia is better.

Make sure you know what kind of slot you will be connecting, (PCI/AGP/PCI-E)...
