Stems are blue inside - rotting?

My cat is concerned about some fruits he harvested...
(pf race in Finch seed + BRF, 1/2 pint jars, cased in 50/50-jiffy mix)
From the exterior the fruits looked normal and healthy. On harvesting some a few of the fruits broke at the base and the inside of the stem was blue. After drying (using drierite) he cleaned off the residual casing material and noticed most all of these fruits had normal looking stems from the outside - nice beige color, but the center of the fruit stem was a bluish color. This is NOT from bruising. In a couple cases where he cut open the stem, the entire stem was blue on the inside.
Also note - aborts from this flush seemed to be rotting very fast - (1-2 days) . The cat noticed that some of the fruits were growing slowly, or had stopped growing. On further inspection, the fruit stems had become somewhat grey colored on the outside and the stem less firm (almost wilty). When cut open, these aborts were blue, or dark blue on the inside. Is this Rotting? Are the full grown fruits with blue centers starting to rot from the inside? Is this rotting in the aborts a precursur to the "black goo"?
On previous experiments, the cat had done straight PF cakes and the fruits did not have this "problem" - the stems were beige all the way thru. Confirmed when cracking some dried stems in half.
Note - the cased batch (on finch seed) had very FAT and SHORT fruits in comparison to the PF cakes - which were taller and more skinny. (The cat is not sure if his casing technique is right or not). Is the short/fat situation contributing to this "problem"
The Finch seed batch also had a very earthy smell to the casing and the fruits. Not very tasty smelling, but not sour or stinky like molds, etc. Is this because of the finch seed, the 50/50 jiffy mix or what? Anyone else have this situation? My guess is this is due to the finch seed - which smelled kinda like this when it was PC'd. Either that or it's the potting soil in the jiffy mix. Thoughts?
My cat thanks you for any assistance in this matter.

Seen it many times. Nothing to worry about there dried shrooms often seem to go blue on the interior.

I would presume that you have nothing to worry about. Almost all of my dried boomers have always had a light greyish blue to dark blue on the inside. I think its where the psilly stuff is stored and it comes to the surface when the shroom gets bruised. And from what I have experienced the darker the blue on the inside the better the mushie. Anyway, I think your ok.

Im having the very same symptoms. I'd like to add that it's rather cold here at the moment (min 3 max 20 Celsius). Do you think te cold is responsible for the premature un bruised bluing?

Not quite. When some of the actives oxidize they turn blue.

My first grow had me worried like this - when I cut them at harvest time, they were almost black through the stem. I mean inky black all the way through. It was just psilocin (I think), and they were fine to consume.
If they were rotten I'm sure they'd smell rotten, though I'm welcome someone will telling me if I'm wrong.

The bluish color is from bruising. It may have occurred before you harvested but it's still bruising, other things can bruise them too like water damage or dehydration. If you ever put a fresh mushroom in a blender you'll see they have the potential to produce lots of black goo, such discoloration alone doesn't necessarily mean it's rotten or contaminated.
