Black blotches on lower stem!!
    #566174 - 02/28/02 08:38 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

I am seeing some black blotches on lower stems where I just picked aborts. I am thinking it could have something to do with the blackness of the aborts? Surely these stems aren't rotting, right?!?!

Its most probably rotting, however I really am not an expert on what to say is rotting or not...

Id pick your shrooms and cut off the rotting part and then dry asap...

aborts start to rot since they have stopped growing, that's just what happens, all mushrooms will rot if u leave them growing long enough, its part of the life cycle

Right. I understand all about aborts rotting..but not about surrounding mushrooms to start rotting...these are healthy growing mushrooms that just 'picked it up' from these nasty aborts.
