PM flag bug

When I log on, my pm flag is flashing, but I have no new PMS.

Yesterday it was flashing and said I had 9 new pms, but there were only 3?

I get all excited...thinking someone loves me...but no.  It's just a big fat mistake and some snarky mod notifications.  Le sigh.  :sad:

Yeah. I noticed that too. I was going to make a thread on it earlier.

I think what happens is someone hits the link which declares that they are going to take care of the problem (in notify moderator PMs). When the PM gets deleted for other mods, the system still thinks we have an unread PM when we actually do not. We can't see the PM of course because it's gone.

To get it to stop flashing, one has to check PMs again, even if there are no new ones in there to get it to stop.

also, the pm notification will only blink if you have new messages on the first page of your inbox, although i like it like that

Okay this should be fixed now, as people suggested it wasn't decrementing the number of PMs when they get deleted by other mods. Thanks!
