It seems the upgrade broke the post reply notification hack that had been
implemented when a previous upgrade eliminated it.

I really miss post reply notifications. :sad:

Everything else is looking good though. :thumbup:

I donno if the hack is still there or not... if it is it was probbaly just an issue yesterday.

The email server was out from 4pm till about 10am this morning.

Hey -

I'll definitely look into this but I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. Do you mean the Favorite Topics list in My Home isn't working, or did we used to send e-mail notification of new posts which I'm not aware of? (I always just bookmark threads I want to check on later.)

Anyway if you can tell me what isn't working, and how it used to work, I'll look into getting it back the way it was. :smile:

There was an option where you would be emailed everytime someone replied to a post of yours. I believe the email contained their reply.

Heh I'm still trying to figure out exactly how this worked. Was it a per-post option or something you set in your profile? Did it only show up when you were starting a thread or did it work for replies too? I'm sure Anno will tell me once he gets online but maybe someone here will respond first.

It was a blanket option in your profile, but you could turn it on in each individual post, as far as i remember.

Thanks, that was just what I needed to know!

I added this feature back to the BB, you can change your preference from the Notification Options screen. Let me know if you notice any problems with it, and thanks everyone for the help so far!

I dont think it sends you your own replies? but I could be wrong?

Eitherway Its no longer an email server issue. Thats all pimped out now :laugh:

It appears you are correct... It used to send your own replies to your own posts (which was a pain). Now it only sends other's replies to your posts.

Very cool.
