I just ordered 4 myco bags and a syringe of puerto rican strain.. this is my first time to grow and was wondering if this strain would be hard to grow compared to another??.. also what would the lowest possible temperature be to keep the bag at for the incubation phase??... one more, if I took 1 of the bags after it was colonized and took it out of the bag to case it during fruiting, would it be a good or bad idea??.. how hard is it to successfully grow this strain from casing especaily for a first time grower..?? Thanks in advance for any advice to a newbie ...

PR will work and when it does work will rock your world. It will colonize probably as low as 75 degrees but 80 to 86 is much better. Yes you can case the bags but they are meant as a self contained growing unit. It will fruit great in the bag.

What SouthernGent says sounds good but if this is your first time casing, maybe PR isn't the best choice. PR's tend to aggressively overcolonize the casing and give even experience casers fits. I would recommend letting the bags do what they are designed to do for at least the first flush. Then you can experiment with casing and still have a harvested crop.
