My girlfriend just picked up a printer/scanner/copier, and so I guess I'm going to go back to being an active transmitter, not a passive receiver.

I have been far to passive as of late, and you can only reach so many people with messages written on tape, stuck wherever you travel, and stuff thats been photocopied, for the purpose of adding text to pics looks cool, and kinda rugged, and I like it, but, I want to work use this printer, and scanner now that I have it, and crank out the message.

I am also going to download photoshop, or something cool like that(suggestions??), so that I can bring it another level.
And make smooth looking, slick,  anti drug war subverts



So, I was thinking, instead of me just asking for good anti-drugwar pics, facts , and quotes, so I can use them locally, why not just post all we can together, and help each other out! :laugh:
Some of what we post is sure to be locally based, or it will at least have a local flavor, but, we can share all sorts of facts, images, articles, and news items.

This will work if we ALL post cool pics, info, articles, and news.

Then, take that shit to the streets.  :earth:

When you are going about your daily travels stick something up, on the bus(inside :wink: ) , a light poles, electrical boxes, mailboxes, everywhere you can.

We don't have to do this everyday(although it would be better) and we don't have to do this all day long(but its ideal)............but every small action will help.

Ever read the book culturejam?  :smile:
Even before that book I was deep into making "subverts" and Memes, a meme is just an idea basically, but we can talk about what a meme is later.

These tactics work, together we could really do something great, without resistance, there will be no change.

If this worked for countless groups and social movements in the past, it could work for us.

i take my self everywhere i go and my self is someone who admits openly to the use of drugs. i don't fear reactions and if welcome i take the time to explain my views!
littering the street with propaganda is something i'm actually against, it's ugly and usually all it does is remind people of the negative rather then help to see the positive!
the ettention span of people is much too short to really change their view on anything when not in the right set/setting :shrug:
even when actualy talking to people you'll find that the time you have to spend to actualy make a diffrence is usually more then the time people have to hear you!

it's unfortunate but i think it effects every issue our society deals with, that's why true change can only come from true being, an example to follow...

mostly our examples come from "bad" places or in "bad" form too!

You seem enthusiastic about it. It is good to do something.
I would recommend documenting your self on vector art art learn how to trace pictures in Illustrator. Get yourself some nice fonts and go for it. +5 for u. I would help but i am stuck at work soz.

How do you think people get the word out?, Not everything can be done over the internet, we cant click democracy, or freedom.

I LOVE seeing things put up, even if its just something for some small local band, a city with nothing but ads etc, looks horrible, and lacking in genuine local culture.

well... ads and all sorts of visual stimuli are much worse but i don't go around putting any of that either! you see even though i gave your words full attention i still don't agree with the idea or rather i don't find it as necessary as you do :shrug:

i hate seing things put up, i'd rather see trees, art or clean walls :smirk:
i'm kinda backwards that way!

i wouldn't go around internet forums putting ads or posts that only mean to win people on my prespective either! i stick around where i know other people understand my POV anyway... if i ever do get to "unfriendly waters" i'd push my adgenda quietly and with respect, only while people care to listen and no further.

makes me sound all prestine and peacefully hippie and while i'm not that exectly, i do think that's the way to go about it.

Right, I'm destroying the forest.
Recylced paper/hemp/soy blend is what I use often, but I do use regular paper too.

I undertand the rest of what your saying, but I dont think that gets much done, it has some effect, but nothing when compared to more involved actions.

I like living my life the way I live it, affecting what changes I may to those I encounter in the moments as they come. I bring what I've got to the table, and I try to respect that everyone is their own person and that's all I ask from everyone else. I don't think it's your right to berate anyone for deciding to affect change on a small level and live their own life rather than unionize the effort to change the entire flow of culture, which is just as fascist as anything you're fighting against.
