I have an electric dehumidifier. Has anyone used one of these for drying shrooms?

I had a friend that did. He sliced them thin and put them on paper plates in front of it. He said it worked pretty good.

Yes, but you'll want to make sure it isn't using excessive heat. Try to turn down or even disable the heating coil(s).

There are no heating coils. All of the heat generated from it comes from the compressor. It's basically an air conditioner with no way to pump the heat outside.

Seems like an air conditioner would be an ideal mushroom dryer.
