Drying my mushies
    #1318248 -

the only thing i have to dry my crops with is a fan. this process takes forever, but i discovered that if u slice the stem into four seperate strands they dry faster. would this damage the mushie in anyway?

No.

soochi dries his with a fan overnight, and they're good enough to store for a couple of months in a dry place (He puts them with dessicant after fanning) He also puts the mushies on a wire rack (like the one you use to cool cookies on) then sets the fan on them on low. Cutting them might not be the best idea as this will no doubt make them oxidize.

My drying method:
Cut in half lengthways.
Put on plate.
Put plate in frost free fridge.
Wait a couple of days.
Voila. Crispy shrooms.

No chance of mold - too cold and too fast.
Probly takes two or three days to dry fully, i just forget about them then check when i remember.

Make sure anyone who opens the fridge does not think that theyre old manky food and throw them out

Cheers
