An laminar flow hood/glove box question.
    #6105755 -

I'm thanking about building an mixed lammer flow hood and glove box(best of both).Kind of like the one in MM&G. I have the plans drawn out. For the last week or so I've just been getting/looking/priceing the parts for it.
Help me choose, shound I
A. Pant the whole than white
B. Just Laminate the working area.
C Do both, pant the whole than and laminate the working area.
What kind of inside pant shound I use on it ?

That isn't a good design. You can't have laminar flow if it's constrained in a glovebox. All you'll get is turbulence which will swirl contaminants into your work. Build a flowhood, or build a glovebox.

The one I'm thanking about is in the MM&GM by Paul Stamets. Remove the back and than the front part where the gloves would be from the glove box.Than build an matching laminar flow hood, to blow throw the glove box.
I was thanking that I could turn off the laminar flow. Then do work with spore prints.  I was hoping that I could just build this and not have to build an glove box and a laminar flow hood

I wouldn't suggest that design. I use my glovebox when doing isolations away from contamination so that the flowhood doesn't blow contaminants all over the place. If the flowhood was one side of the glovebox and turned off, contaminants would stick to the flowhood filter, then be blown off next time the flowhood was turned on. Build a flowhood for flowhood work, then take a clear rubbermaid tote and cut two arm holes in it-Instant glovebox for $12.

After cutting the the wood and dilling the holes to power the lights. I plan on panting the laminar flow hood sold white, outside and inside. Then laminate the working area, to make cleaning and sanitizing the working suffice easy. I'm a over killing it with this?
