Last Yankees vs. Red Sox game of the season...
    #6071139 -

I'm going, and MOOSE is pitching. Wooooooot.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

I'm ready to forget about baseball for the season. Sure, I'll watch the Yankees win the world series, but this year has been so fucking painful to watch for me, w/ the Cubs being just horrid, that I just want to season to be done.

Thank god the Bears are fucking awesome.

Oh that was mean. I mean really really mean. Mean in a way that only someone who's team hasn't won for more than two millenia can understand. Mean in a way that only someone who has been a black man in an Alabama lifer prison for raping a white woman can understand. Or John Wayne Gacy. Mean like only a precious perfect white-furred baby seal can relate to. Or a fois gras goose. Or an oyster. Or a lobster when I cook him, with cold water to start and he's done when the water boils.

Anybody else have any family anecdotes to add?
