PR pinning problems

I birthed and cased some Puerto Rican jars a little over a week ago. The mycelium took over the casing very quickly, and now there are rhizomes shooting up out of the casing, some of which are up to a cm long, yet i haven't seen any pins or primordia forming. Has anyone else been having trouble with this strain? I just decided to try cold shocking, but i've never had to do it for any of the others.

You have what is called overlay.

Lots of people have problems with the Puerto Ricans overlaying.

Trick to casing Puerto Ricans is.....after you case ...don't put them in the incubator long...as soon as you see any white coming through the casing layer put them in the fruiting chamber.
Fruit them right away.

roadkill is correct. i had the exact same prob my first time fruiting prs. the are a very aggressive strain. once cased should initiate pinning in 2 to 3 days. you can try deep scratching now.

I put the puertos in the fruiting chamber immediately after applying the casing layer.
