Anti Gravity Soundwaves
    #6021993 -

By applying a continuous resonant(600Hertz) sound wave, and by adjusting the amplitude and phase relationship amongst the 3 speakers; This person was able to control levitation and movement in all 3 (x,y,z) axis of the ambient space. This research was used to show the effects of micro-gravity conditions that exist in the space shuttle environment in orbit.

Dude that is friggen kick ass. I am trying to get a hand on the .pdf copy of the book ( my friend is making the .pdf ) but i has schematics and such for anti-gravity propulsion systems. They even have the schematic for the hover board from the movie Back To The Future.

that is really cool.they have been useing soundwaves to assimilate a black hole.this accoustic black hole is known as a DUMB HOLE.
i wonder if it has anything to do with single bubble sonoluminecence?

Sounds like a weapon of war to me, imagine creating a black hole the size of a military installment and wipe out your opponent. Lol maybe I am just thinking too far fetched but it could happen...

all they told us what they wanted was a sound that could kill someone from a distance.so we researched it back over at the lab-xperment -x by kate bush a really good song

This is a good thought but sound alone is not enough to "tickle" the gravitons. Trust me, I have been experimenting for the past year, started out breaking glasses, then tried several other things. I submitted some of my notes to a professor for Vanderbuilt and he encouraged me to continue my research.

My idea is simple yet complex in itself.

1) Sound waves or "resonance" is the correct approach. Finding the resonate frequency of any given matter is tricky to say the least. Rocks are easy, that is why the ancient builders could do it so easy (In my opinion)

2) The second key is electrical resonance. Frequency..

3) Amplitude is the key for sound and electricity and finding a happy median between the two induced into whatever matter you are attempting to float is near impossible.

I came up with the theory in a Digital class in college, I wondered to myself looking at a 2D o-scope if electricity could travel in three dimensions, we are so used to peering at a scope and being content with the Peak to Peak values. What if sine waves actually extended outward in 3 dimensions.

Next I thought to myself that pressure waves measures in a computer are in 2D. But wait, what if......etc... You get my drift.

There is another shape in nature that contains a helix more specifically a double helix. DNA..

Weird thinking or what ?

Nah, just mixing up a lot of stuff and not differentiating between reality and representation. Your '2D nature' of electricity and sound waves, which you observed on an oscilloscope, mean nothing else than that the representation of frequency of an alternating current (because that is the only thing a 'scope visualizes) is in two dimensions. Obviously, sound travels in three dimensions, and so does electricity. Nothing new there. How does it translate into some sort of 'anti gravity' concept?

Unrelated to the above post, note that the Youtube video comment includes the following passage:

This is not "anti-gravity." So don't waste time arguing something pointless.

I agree, Let me be more clear.

All matter has a resonate frequency. (Sound)

What would happen if you could get the matter you are working with to resonate at that controlled frequency and introduce a field at the same or 180 degrees out at the same frequency.

Does this make sense?

Not to me.  So you get some matter vibrating at its resonant frequency, driven by sound waves.  Then you introduce a field, what kind of field?  And you say that field has a frequency, so you are oscillating the field?  Why would that do anything at all?  Note that acoustic levitation requires more than merely driving an object at its resonant frequency.  All driving an object's resonant frequency will do is make it vibrate.

Yes, oscillate the electromagnetic field at a the same frequency. You are saying this would do nothing? How do you know. I am aware that tuning something at it's resonant frequency with sound alone will do nothing but vibrate.

What do you think the electromagnetic field would do?  The electric component of the field would act on opposite charges in opposite directions.  Matter is made out of both charges in roughly equal proportions so an electric field generally has little effect.  It will induce some dipole, unless its a conductor (where you may want to consider the plasmon frequency).  In any case, the electric field wont make it levitate.  You keep turning it up until it ionizes the atoms.  The magnetic part of the field will cause things to spin around, like usual and of course it can do no work so it certainly cannot life charges against gravity.

Get the field oscillating, monochromatic and coherent and then have a laser beam.  Lasers have long been able to lift things (our secretary of energy got his nobel prize in this field).  Its not by virtue of any vibrational resonance frequency of the stuff.  Its simply exploits the fact that light has momentum and can push things.  A stream of light pushes in a similar fashion to a stream of water.

This thread is about sound waves though, and I believe that does not utilize the resonance frequency of the object.  It relies on the superposition of sound waves, and some non-linear behavior.  You can combine waves such that certain crests line up and other cancel out.  This can be done dynamically so that there is a high pressure crest under the object and a low pressure trough above the object and that imbalance creates an upward force.  I dont know much about it, but that is how I read it working.

Wow, great explanation. And a little deeper than my knowledge. Thanks for giving me some insight into this research.

Basically just the bernouli affect, right?  For a given chamber you induce a standing wave and the area on axis to the driver will be resonating (the gas moving) more strongly than areas without such changes in pressure, such as the corners of a regular speaker enclosure or the chamber in the youtube video, and hence have a lower pressure, causing the atmospheric pressure to push the object into that area of high 'sonic flux' (whatever you'd call that).

Is this what your describing?  I wouldn't think simply messing with phases could cause the  object to levitate from the pressure of the waves themselves, as the high pressure and low pressure osciliations should be balanced and thus produce no net force that could move the center of gravity, right?  I was just thinking this out and after watching the original youtube video figured it was just the bernouli effect.  Before seeing the video I couldn't imagine how this worked, but it makes sense to me now.  Am I on the right track here?

Anyone seen a graph on the specific wave-interaction required to elicit such phenomena?
