Mushroom Identification

Trying to ID This mushroom...

Purple Spores - Comes from Tennesee Region.
Thses always seem to grow in my Tenn Stud, substrates. They always seem to grow first, before most pinning triggers have been iniated... (mostly while in last stages of incubation)

any help would be most appreciated. :wink::thumbup:

Some species of Coprinus are poisonous when mixed with alcohol.

Coprinus mushrooms render black spore prints.

Also, I believe Coprinus mushrooms are actually (within the realm of cultivation) considered a contaminant. So clean up your cultivation methods because you do not want them in your grow.

it's from prebought Tenn Stud. Stuff is great, but has happened to me 2 out of 2 times... not cool.

Those little Inky Caps are ubiquitous on horse poo in the wild. They are nothing to worry about, but they are indication that the poo was not thoroughly sterilized.

I pasteurize my product at 170f for 1 hour or more. I don't know how these little buggers make it sometimes. They must have some kind of a resistance to heat. From what I understand the ones that do make it are few and far between and do not affect the intended crop at all as far as yield is concerned.
There is also the possibility that this particular species (Very Common) took hold on the other end of the deal. But the bottom line is, other than aesthetics, there is nothing to be concerned about. :wink:

large white shroom, cap like a church bell, exterior has what seems like a light dusting of damp flour? inside of bell v dark brown bout
15cm tall, bell is bout 5cm tall, 3cm diameter
