I am going hunting on MONDAY in WA!!!

MOnday looks liek it may be a perfect day, the temp is gonna be in the low 50's
so i hope the pan sub's will fruit. If not oh well, i hope i can bring some pics back to show.
I am praying for a great season.

The others are from all over the place....I hang out with quite a few shoomery peeps....maybe you can get together with some of us soon.

I used to go shrooming out in Carnation years ago.....literly.
I have friends that grew up in Preston....lolz
Haven't been out that way in a very long time.
You still finding alot out that way ?

last season i fund many patches, i still find more in the North bend area but not this early in the season. I would love to get together and go hunting with you gus sometime. I have my own transpertation so when you guys have a date set let me know
i will be there in a secound!

Do post pictures! Wish I could go along with you guys. Living in Idaho makes it more than a day trip for me, but would love to know where to go and what to look for and WHEN to make the trip. Please give details and advice for us wannabe inlanders. Especially I would like to find some Liberty Caps. How does Subalteatus compare with PsCubensis? Never experienced Subalteatus. And how about Amanita Muscarias, do you see them in the Seattle area and at what times of year?

I went on a little hike today through a couple horese stalls :smile:. Had no luch since they have been
rebuilding the stalls and have not had a horse in them in like 5 months. I am hoping monday will be better!
I can wait to find that first cap sticking out of the ground or crap either way i will be very happy.
I just found a great new field today in North Bend also. I couldnt believe it, i have lived here my whole life and
never knew about it. I looks like it will be great for stuntzii's.
I hope to have some pics on here monday, i am heading out early.

Will Pan Sub's grow inland this early in the season, say in the snoqualmie valley? I am just wondering if i am wasting my time here
or if i should go travel somewhere to pick. Thanks

We are going out Sunday looking for shrooms....hopefully a few will be out.
Still might be a little early up here.
Joshua told me that he found some Weilii down in Oregon already. :smile:

You won't see any liberty caps this time of year.

I am taking the camera with us tomorrow.....there is a few of us from the shroomery meeting up.:)
If we find anything.....I will post up some pictures.

Yes we have amanitas around the puget sound area....I have never wanted any though.
Maybe MJ can tell you more about them...I have just seen them around....I really don't know much about them....sorry.

Unless some expert cultivator put an outdoor patch up, I doubt that there are any P. weilii, In fact this even wouldn;t be there season intheir home state of Georgia. Too cold for the P. weilii's

Thanks MJ, I just saw that pic of them on that plate and they looked pretty tasty :smile: .
I went out agian today and came out empty. The tempiture didnt get high enough i think it
was only like 43 degrees here today. I will keep trying untill i find them. Has anyone else had any luck.

hi....MJ

my fault.....Josh told me had some weilii.....and I assumed that he picked them.
I didn't know where they grew either....thought maybe Oregon had them.
I'm not an expert like you......I need to do some reading on habitat.


I went out today....and saw nothing......not a one.
I wasn't feeling good today....think I have the flu.....so I only looked for an hour or so.

Hope someone has some luck soon!

I hope the wheather is good tomorow so i can go out, if it isnt i will still go out for a while. I want to check out this
old cow pasture just outside of north bend. Does anyone know the fruiting temp for these pan subs? I looked all over on the
net and couldnt find anything on it. Good luck on hunting everyone!

i went hnting for like four hours today. STILL came out with nothing. They just must not be ready yet.
