Samui Copes, Cubes and I August 24 (UPDATE 8-25_2006) NEW
    #5991707 -

Okay, friggin hot. I found my small patch of cubes but it is so hot. Close to over 100 degrees. At my friends farm in Ban Thurian. A small lot of various quarter to two inch caps of cubes, several parched, cracked and wrinkled Copes and some fresh ones. Forgot to -photo the container with the picked Copes. However I am showing two images of the cracked and pitted caps fo a few older ones making prints in a sterile environment.

Here are the images of today. More to come as day three looms around the mushroom corner of Samui.

The cubes

The Copes

And some large-sized Lpiotas

And a large image of it against the coconut grove backgrouond, where each tree has manured piled around them for fertilizers and later grass grows through the shit and then the shrooms appear within four to six weeks.

Could not find a friggin tool to smudge and repair the missing parts of the rotated and cropped image so this is what you get

And here are my friends, Bungalow and Mr. Boon Boon of Ban Thurian.

With me in the middle

Nice photos MJ.  Those copes don't show nearly as much bluing as some cope pictures you have posted in the past.  The photo I am thinking of, the mushrooms are also very cracked and dried out like the first cope photo in this thread, yet these show no obvious bluing in the pics...?  Do you know why this is?

this thread reminded me of how much i liked the picture you posted previously, so i went into paint and adjusted it for my desktop image.

This is the original as pictured at my site. I see nothing difrerent except you reversed the image from right to left.

Sunlight and a possible kick of the shroom byu a water buffalo or just wind shear damage can cause a cap to blue.

Umm.. I didn't intend to change the photo to much. I like the photo very much. I forgot i flipped it. aside from that, I also striped the border. Not trying to impress, just showing my appreciation.

Hmm, well the Copes in the first post appear to also have gotten a lot of sun... I guess we cannot know, without having been there to observe and control the environment.
MJ, once you picked those Copes in the first post, did they blue as vivid as the ones from your site?

No Cure Cat bedause I know how to lift a mushroom from the ground without squeezing them whatsoever so that no bluing occurs.

An example of a picked collection of Copes form lat summer.

Maybe a few in here had some natural wind, falling leave damge in them when collected, but the majority if you noticed are preserved expertly with no bluing at all.
