MUSHIES FROM OHIO!!!! NEED HELP WITH IDENTIFICATION!!!
    #5999903 -

Hey, 2nd time hunting and now i'm in OHIO and....why don't you take a look...

I found them growing in the woods by a rotting stump.

Dry to the touch, spore prints were a dark brown, white non-hollow stems.

Anyways, i don't know what they are, give a holler if you might know. THANKYOU!!!!!!!
are they safe?

:krang:

A) No, there is no way in jeebus-hell those are psilocybe

B) It doesn't matter what they are, they are in a state of decay.

Good day to you.

even if they were edible, they wouldnt be very delicious and almost no chance of being active.

Safe for what?

There's no need to make a pole.
Those look like Inocybes, and the brown spore print is consistent with that genus. Most Inocybes are poisonous.

Sure, but the pole is anonymous. People are better off taking the advice from one trusted identifier than relying a majority of anonymous responders to a poll question. There are people who might say those mushrooms are safe to eat because they are ignorant, and there are people who might say those mushrooms are safe to eat because they are evil and would get there jollies from poisoning some unsuspecting dupe.

The beauty of this forum is peer review. Those folks on the list of trusted identifiers have a consistent track record of safe IDs. Peer review is not possible from an anonymous poll.
