Kratom is native to rainforrest climates. They crave humidity and warm temperatures. Mist 1-3 times daily or make a humidity dome. I'm actually impressed that you were able to somewhat sprout from seed. Keep a close eye on them and good luck!

I'm glad you found my Kratom plant care post. It saved me the time of searching for it. I don't know of an exact humidity percentage, but I believe anything around 80% or a little above would be ideal. It also likes well drained soil. Don't overwater.

I noticed your location says New York, which means that you will definately not be able to grow outdoors year round. I had an idea a while back of using a Martha for groing kratom. If you've visited the Mushroom Cultivation Forum long enough, you've probably seen pictures of a Martha. Its basically a closet lined with some type of plastic wrap with some type of humidifier pumping in humid air and a light source. I haven't tried it yet, but I would imagine it would be an ideal setup.

Poking holes in your humidity tent would probably be a good idea. Not necessarily to lower humidity, but more importantly for air exchange. Plants need fresh air just as people do. You don't want to suffocate it.

I don't know anything about lion's tail, but I'm not sure why you planted more than one plant in the same container. You're going to want to seperate them before the roots become intertwined. When they grow bigger (And they will, they can become trees) they will need to be repotted. If the roots of the different kratom plants tangle around themselves you'll risk dammaging the plants when repotting. Growing kratom isn't the easiest plant to grow. It requires special attention and conditions.

The 77f temp is good. Anything around 50f will cause the plant to drop leaves which is not good, but possible to recover from.

Keep me posted on the progress of your plant. I am very interested. If I happen to forget to check this thread, feel free to send me a PM if you have further questions.

May I ask where you got your Kratom seeds? I'm very impressed that you got them to sprout since kratom seeds are only vialble up to two weeks at the most. Kratom is most commonly found on the other side of the planet from you, which makes viable seeds in the U.S. difficult to come by.

By the way, I just repotted my kratom plant into a larger pot (3 or 4 gallon). I was grown from a rooted cutting and is a little over a year old. Its recovering very well from various ailments including insects, neglect, and low humidity & temp. I'll post some pics in a few weeks before I try my hand at some cuttings.

i have kratom also growing from seeds also and the seeds are viable for alot more than just two weeks, i bet you can grow seeds that are several months old with no problems.

I re-potted the plant only a few days ago. It was long overdue for repotting. Its about 3.5 feet tall at the moment and is currently in a 3 or 4 gallon pot. I'll post some pictures in a few weeks and update you on the progress.

Sounds like a good vendor. The kratom seeds must be reasonably fresh for them to be viable. From what I've read, people usually have little or no success growing from seed. Thats also the first vendor I've seen who sells kratom seeds. Good find! Keep us updated with pics as your babys get bigger.

repot your kratom, they grow so much faster when they get good rootspace. when they starts to drop the leaves they are not happy with their rootspace. kratom seedlings repots easily.
