what gear do you use? (softsynths, monitors etc.)
    #5894315 -

I'm mostly interested in what soft synths you use.

I'm just trying to see what are some really good softsynths, the native instruments stuff seems really cool.

Well I havent gotten into producing as much as I would have liked to. I enjoy Djing more at the moment so I havent focused much on producing. But this is a list of gear/software I got goin so far:

-Cubase SX 3
-KRK Rokit RP 8's Monitors
-E-mu 1820 Soundcard
-x2 Pioneer CDJ 1000s MK2
-x2 Technics Sl-1200Mk5
-Vestax PCV-275 Mixer
-Crown CE 2000 power amp
-A bunch of free VST I downloaded
*moog modular V
*Discover v2
*Vertigo v2
*Absynth 3
*Albino
Mostly alot of crappy Vst's

Im gonna be making a jump into producing probably after the summer is over. I've been setting aside some cash to buy either a Nordlead 2x or 3 im still debating. I just cant stand using a mouse trying to get the exact sound I like. Im more of a touch and feel person when it comes to synths.

I really wish I had 2 1200 MK2's but im stuck with these crappy geminis, one of them came in a dj kit for 4 yr olds, the other one was a PT 2000 I found at a TV repair shop, I didnt realize the motor jerked every half a second until I took off the platter a few weeks ago (I was wonderin why beat matching was such a bitch) So I pretty much just use it for juggling and scratching. I got a lonely DNS3500 thats fun to play with. The Behringer DJX700 which has some very poorly made up faders. And an M-Audio Axiom 25 which is supposedly made of lead and other harmful chemicals. I just started getting into producing so the only things I use pretty much is Kontakt 2 and Battery.

hmm for software: fl6, sound forge.. cubase one or two times.. for vst:
albino, vanguard and zeta for leads and bass.. great software
atmosphere, albino, altered states for atmosphere and pads and stuff
battery as a sampler for making drum loops
lots of Waves stuff for fx.. amazing reverb and stuff.. also use this "analog delay" for tape delays.

for equipment i just use my evolution mk-425c and two rokit krk 8s. next i think ill buy a mixer w/ firewire or usb to replace the midi keyboard since i cant play keyboard for shit.. all about the knobs.

ive got a juno 106 but have only used it in one track. i dont know of any way to use external synths with fl6 so i cant really use it yet. cubase is too alien to work in for me. fl is so natural

lastly i have bongos, though i cant record them because i have no mic  one day ill get that mixer and mics and record. in the mean time samples work fine

:sun:
