Disgusting Habits

What is yours?

I smoke ciggarettes and I know it's gross, but I do it anyways. Sometimes when I'm stressed out, I smoke more. I guess it's a coping mechanism.

I'd actually really like to quit, and I think about it a lot, but then I get that little twinge for a sweet, delicious smoke. I do it most when I am bored...or driving. I spend quite a lot of time driving. Sometimes I feel bad about it, blowing my smoke all over the place, but I justify it by telling myself I do other things to help balance the grossness.

I will quit one day.

Biting my nails is mine.  Not the way they look, just how I spit them out after they're severed.  You wouldn't be able to tell I bite my nails though, I'm pretty accurate :wink:

Anyway, about the smoking thing.  I'm like, 4 weeks cold turkey.  I just stopped, and haven't had one since.  It was as easy (or hard) as that.  You just...don't smoke lol.  You'll be ok if you have sugar-free gum and bottled water  :thumbup: :smirk:.

i pick my nose... cant help it tho sometimes cuz they stick to the inside of my nose and i cant blow em out... sometimes i fart too, but i hate holding them so if im with only guys i let em fly...

I drink too much coffee. 4-5 cups a day and sometimes I pluck my nose hairs out when noones around. I'm sew kewl for it too.

Picking nose, hocking loogies and clearing my throat (from excessive weed smoking but not getting anything to come out so constantly doing it), being sweaty all day (lol, cause i have to ride my bicycle everywhere).

Why do people bite thier nails anyways? Spitting I can understand, picking your nose, smoking, scratching your ears with your keys...there's a certain element of satifaction that you get from these things.

But biting your nails? Where is the satisfaction? I don't get it?

i think that its more of a situation where people dont have nail clippers.... those things do grow pretty quick

One of these days we'll all be at a gathering and some weirdo that reads this thread 'll be hiding in a tree waiting. They'll have a list of everybody's disgusting habits and make everyone paranoid that someone's watching right in mid pick.  :paranoid:

Flea popping, whenever I see a flea on one of the dogs I pop it between my thumbnails. I enjoy hearing the sound of them pop. My daughter thinks this is gross.

It is gross.

When I was a teenager, my mother used to pick on me when I got zits on my face.  She would LOVE to pop them.  I would get so mad at her, I'd be chillin around minding my own business and she'd jump me from behind and hold me down to pop them.  I thought it was so gross.  She said it was really satisfying.  :shrug:

People are very weird.

I've chewed my fingernails for as long as I can remember. I don't know, it's just habit. I don't even notice that I'm doing it most of the time. I quit smoking like it was nothing, but can't seem to stop biting my nails.

:lol:  That's a bad one.

My disgusting habit is that I chew on my fingers/fingernails.  I am hopelessly addicted to it and I can't stop.  It is so powerfully compulsive.  I do it when I am nervous and when I'm not nervous.  Fingernail biting is my cigarette smoking.  I get thorough enjoyment out of it but I hate it at the same time.
