LEOs watching my PO Box? need help

I was reading through postmaster's old posts here in the security forum and he briefly mentioned a piece of paper being taped to the back side of a person's PO Box indicating that the post office is watching addresses / names coming in your PO Box. I've had a few RC packages come through my PO Box from philippines and one from china already, and there's already a couple more on the way (I can't stop it now). The last time I checked my PO Box which was over a week ago, I saw a fucking piece of paper taped to the back of my PO Box and if there weren't other people around me I would have reached in and grabbed it to see what it said.

According to postmaster, it means the postal inspector is watching the box. Just how cautious should I be about the situation? I obviously won't be ordering any RCs for a while but I was curious if anyone has ever been in the situation before and how it turned out (if anything happened). Apparently receiving mail from foreign countries is enough to warrant suspicious activity / surveillance on a person's box.

hmm what's the problem quiver? i'm not sure i understand why i sound "suspicious"? the only thing worse than a narc is being alluded to being one, which i am not. so go fuck yourself mr. more paranoid than i am. i've got a real problem here and i was asking for some advice

why not call a different post office and ask about notes on the back of your box...and take it from there...good luck bro..be careful..fed offense fucking around with the postal service :wink:

thanks capt..i'll try that.  and i'm calmed down now, i apologize for the harsh comments quiver, but dont think for a second you're some super detective thats able to spot narcs..if you knew even a fraction of me or what goes on in my daily life, you'd find yourself apologizing pretty quickly  :smile: of the 3 years i've been posting here, that's the first time someone has accused me of that.  a little fact you should know is i took the charges for a friend years ago because he was already on probation, and now i'm dealing with repercussions from the law here.

as a small update, i checked my box this morning and the paper was gone.  i'm still going to call another post office and see whats up though.

I know that they put a small piece of paper on the back of your PO box when your payment is almost due.

Ask the postmaster when your next payment is due.

i just bought a 6 month 'lease' on the box less than a month ago, so the payment is still not due for another 5+ months  :confused: i called two post offices near me (not the one i use) and neither of them were able to tell me what the piece of paper was for

well i guess i interpreted your original post wrong..and no, the only thing ordered from the philippines was some special K and a few pills. this is after all, a drug related website, not some anti-US terrorism forum lol.

i still think it's a bit far fetched to think i'd be dealing with such crap as anthrax or anything else, especially after boldly stating the material i ordered..i only visit a few forums daily, those being ODD, the news forum and here. while i highly disagree with the laws and the way our country is run, i'm not about to risk my freedom by injuring / harming the public lol. i'm just an average joe who wishes to stay under the radar for harmless drug use.

Its better to be safe than sorry.
The state of Texas wants people to 1/2 their time in jail now.

That paper could of been for another box. My post office has a lot of them up all the time. Mostly reminders.

If you can think of no other explanation for the notes on your PO box, depending on the potential risk you may want to adjust your security protocol. If you are doing nothing illegal, I would not worry. I would only worry if I were ordering drugs or conducting any illegal activity on the darknet.

Order a test package and see if it has any holes to indicate inspection probes.
