Does a couple beers take the edge off the trip?

I used go get a little edgy when dosing, and like to drink a couple of beers at the beginning of the trip. Would 2 beers reduce the effects of the shrooms? I would not want to miss any visuals.

But since it has been 8 years since my last trip I want to start off right.

I'll start off with a low dose maybe 1 gram just to feel it again. Then the plan is to go for a 4 or 5 gram voyage a few weeks later.

I never felt the need to mix any drugs with mushrooms

They fuck you up enough you know?

Nah man, all ive noticed from beer + shrooms is a bit more tracers than normal. If anything 2 beers will just make you feel a bit better.

yes, alcohol will lessen your trip. The amount of alcohol obviously matters, 1-2 beers and one would be more relaxed during the come-up, getting drunk before will certainly effect the majority of the trip

I know several people who had essentially decided that they hated mushrooms in comparison to any other psychedelic. Recently, after taking mushrooms and drinking a few beers throughout the trip, they've decided they owe mushrooms an apology. I guess the beer completely took off the anxious edge, so their entire trip was directed in overall more positive directions.

it may make it "better", that's a matter of opinion, I would agree, beer makes mushrooms "better"

in my experience, alcohol does lessen the intensity of peaking on mushrooms

the last 2-3 trips i've had i've drank 3-4 beers (i weigh about 300lbs so thats the same as 1-2 probably for you smaller folks) during the comeup and it does seem to help with the anxiety imo

and i also like drinking beer on the comedown cuz it tastes soooo good

man i say go for it. i find booze takes the edge away from the tirpping. i hvae never found it to greatly take away from the visuals and if it did, it still was enjoyable. i have some friends that will only drink with shrooms now cause he finds them to much of a head fuck with. i also find that getting really hammered and taking a low dose is one of the best things in the world to do, plus experimenting with different drug combos if fun!

there are limits, I've seen a drunk ass eat less than an eighth and pass out very early on, missed everything

Ok what my friends and I do is... we go to the store and buy a 12 pack or 24 pack of budwiser for the three of us. Then we eat about 3 grams each. Once we start to feel the onset of the trip we start to drink the beers. I always drink when I trip. The effects of the mushrooms for us make it taste amazing. The best beer we have ever had. It also makes us more relaxed. Also the only time I have ever notice it effect potency is if we had been drinking before the trip. Expecially hard liqour. That is why we wait till we start to feel the effects then drink. We have always had a great time doing this. You probably won't know if you get drunk either and you probably can't. The beer just taste so good. We usally end up drinking about 6-7 beers a piece during a trip. We have such a great time in fact.. we usally eat a few more grams around the 4-5 hour mark to continue our journey. I'm all for beer and shrooms. Best combo ever in my opinon.

I find that it will help enhance CEV's or tracers on the come down. thatys ususally one ot two but ya thats all that is necessary for me. but i dont usually like getting drunk on shrooms

Yeah it is.. or being a drunk. I will neither confirm nor deni on my part. :smile:

But if you like the taste of beer and, enjoy just drinking beer in-general, like my friends and I. Then do it when you feel your buzz coming. It makes that first sip soo good.

Beer is great for releiving any tension/anxiety, I have never used alcohol with a psychedelic before though.

In the future, when I do decide to learn more from hallucinogens, I will have some beers at my side just in case.

After eating many MJ cakes and many joints/bowls on one seeminly lucky day, I have learned how valuable alcohol can be when wanting to come down from an anxiety attack and super high heart rate, fast.(Damn that super potent outdoor cali bud)........
That day I "tripped" very hard off of all sorts of dank concoctions. Too much weed for sure. The last thing I was would have been tired. I was speedy as hell and very much "tripping" on weed. Reminded me of mushrooms mixed with LSD if anything. Oral weed might have been the culprate. It tends to make you sort of trip, certainly when used at high doses.

I never mix alcohol with psychedelics. I'd rather confront the negative feelings, learn to deal with them, rather than attempting to dull them with alcohol.

But everybody is different so I can only speak for myself.
