I tripped a couple of friends of mine. They did not get off all that well and I gave them like 5 grams a piece. I think if they didn't have a stomach full of beer that it would affect them better. Does anyone ever notice decreased effects when drinking a bunch of beer and eating shrooms. I hardly ever drink and when I trip I just like water.

I've not had too much experience with shrooms and beer. i usually don't mix the two. But the one time I did was pretty fun though. It was more the situation and being with great friends that made it fun, not the beer. I was tripping before i started drinking and to tell you the truth i didn't notice the beer effects much. it just mellowed me out a little.
Excessive use of technology will eventually enslave mankind.

I will drink Guiness occasionally when I shroom but Guiness is not JUST beer. Having the full stomach might have effected their trip.

being drunk and then eating shrooms can make you seriously nauseated.
about the not tripping bit, are you sure you gave them 5 dry grams a piece? i think a lot of these "i ate 5 grams and didn't trip" threads are caused by lack of a scale and/or incomplete drying. cause even if they had quite a few beers 5 dry grams a head would probably fuck them up royally.

I disagree 1,000% the only time's I have ever experienced total loss of ego has been with a empty stomache and alcohal consumption...I am positive that alcohal helps the body readily absorb the fungus.....There is no doubt in my mind that a trip with booze is stronger and shorter, if your friends had a full stomach it must have involved food as well...........

Yeah - 5 grams dry or fresh? 5 grams fresh will do shit-all and 5 grams dry will take you to another planet.

occasionally some mushrooms are not very potent. I have seen some 1/8s where people barely tripped...of course the vast majority send people off on a rocket

Well first I used a postal scale and weighed out 4 grams dried thailand cubensis. Then I gave them a medium size fresh one(approx. .5 grams). They also boosted a couple small shrooms an hour later. I know boosting doesn't work, but I really wanted them to get off like a rocket. I think I gave them plenty to blow their mind. Of course I didn't find them to awfully potent either. The only strain I can compare to is the PF strain which is seemingly more potent. I swear they ate more than 5 grams.

On 90% of my trips, I've been pretty buzzed before munching and it has enhanced my trip if anything. Also, beer tastes outstanding when you're on the way to your peak. I can understand not wanting to get drunk while on shrooms, but in my humble opinion, it's always nice to have an ice cold beer mid trip.
