Dunking Baby Mushrooms

Hey Y'all, OK, I had some cakes that had finished the first flush and were pretty dry so I decided to dunk them. These sprouted baby mushrooms that sprouted overnight! Is that a problem for them to have been in the water like that? Also, I had 2 more cakes that had some small mushrooms started but were quite dry and in need of dunking...so I dunked them too, will this cause any problems?

well, that makes me feel a little better, the babies look ok, they were quite small, so i guess it didn't do any harm. it's amazing how much better the cakes look after dunking, they seem refreshed and less "tired" looking. i guess only time will reveal if it worked or not!

there is a better way than dunking to rehydrate. just make a hole in the top of the cake with a drinking straw make it about 1/2 the way through. fill it with water now your mushrooms have a water source. you can get up to 3 flushes this way.

you should always clean your cake of aborts and little shrooms before sunking. they may rot. also, i have used many rehydration teks and i honestly think dunking is the best. when dunking the cake absorbs moistur alll over the cake, as it marinates in the water. Ii find the inner reservoir tek and the drinking straw far less benifitial. not to say these teks dont work for shit cuz they do work and they work well, but dunking is best. this isin my experience anyway. i have gotten over 3 flushes by dunking, youll know when your cake is spent.

My buddies cakes loved to be dunked. They pin nicely a few days after pinning. He has dunked cakes with baby shrooms that havent got the brown head yet and they all did fine.
