cut my finger

yesterday i cut my finger cutting watermelon. it didnt bleed for too long so i didn't think it was that serious, although it hurt far more than youd expect for such a small cut which makes me think it was deep. the saw part of the knife sliced into the front of my left index finger. anyway today its red and still hurting, is this a sign i should get it looked at? if a cut doesnt bleed a lot, can it still be deep?

It may not be deep, but it could still be infected. I wouldn't rush to the emergency room, but I would give it a good soak in hot filtered water with a little tea tree oil or plain soap added to it.

Just look after it for a afew days, keep it clean and it will heal up.

Salt water's good for cleaning cuts. :thumbup:

Did the same thing...stupid pocket knife folded up on me and cut a chunk outta my index finger.
