FLA: 3 Panaeolus subbalteatus found today in cow pasture (NO PICS)

i was in a cow field today. not too much out there yet..

another person i was in the field with picked some mushrooms (that were growing in the shade) and brought them to me to be identified. 3 subbers.. the subbs i have seen here in florida are always very-small for some reason.. i think that they might grow bigger on horse manure opposed to cow manure..

still no Copelandia or Cubensis to be found. its a very empty feeling seeing all those cow patties not fruiting anything yet.

anyways, just a heads up, we found some Florida-subbalteatus today!~

florida.......... Is there any where these don't grow? for all you smart asses I know they don't grow in antartica but It makes you wonder .Hella nice find, reasures me there could always be actives in my parts.

well today i was in a different pasture than the one yesterday, and i found more Subbalteatus!

they were growing directly from cow dung, in sarasota county florida.. near the city of Venice (out in the middle of absolutely no-where).

the subbs i have found here in florida growing from cow manure are usually very small for some reason.. and not always very abundant either.

no pictures available because i do not take my digital camera to work with me, and i didnt even keep any of the subbs i found today..

its still really dry out there, but there are a few springtime subbies to be found here and there.
