Ok well I decided to make the best of this summer....I wana goto Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, Burning Man and Gathering of Vibes this year. But im not much of a concert goer...never been to any of those before, this will be my first time. See my plan is to get wastes, and trip my balls off at these concerts. I heard Bonnaroo is one of the best to go to, drugs are EVERYWHERE. Well what about wakarusa, burnin man and gathering of vibes?
Can anyone give me more info on these events? I just wana know if those event are right for me, once again....my mind state is: Go there get drunk, smoke, trip and have a blast. Should i bring my own herbs and all, or is it widely available during those events.
Maybe some replys from ppl who have been to those before. All help is apreciated.

Yeah from waht i've read on that Vibes website they will be searching cars upon entry and reentry so they may not be too available there either. However at wakarusa and roo, i'm sure it will be different. I wish I didnt have to miss those =\
It'd probably be pretty cool to hit up Burning Man at some point though...

You have the wrong attitude about festivals and your kind are strongly frowned upon by people who actually go to listen to/play/enjoy the music and the people.

while i do agree with john....drug hungry types do generally cause all the stife at these events and bring on the bad press......
In regards to OP question, searching cars/people is really nothing new......
As far as we know this kid really does have genuine interest in the music/scene but would also like to magnify the experience a bit.....
id say you wont have a problem doing so at any of the festivals.....
just dont be stupid, watch out for yourself and others, and be aware of police and respectful of police/security(keep all shady dealings to your tent and away from main areas/trails......
have fun

Think about it this way. When events become known solely as places to obtain drugs, the authorities start to get very interested and these events start to become difficult or impossible to obtain permission to put on. Fortunately, festivals aren't like that. Most people go to enjoy the music and the people. For the past two years, I've tuned in to the Manchester area Christian radio station after leaving Bonnaroo and they're always trying to stir up negative sentiment among the natives by talking about drug arrests and never about the music. You do have to care about what every other hippie thinks because all of these events could be gone in the blink of an eye.
