Tool - 10,000 Days

i just got a hold of it.

and i'm listening to it for the first time all the way thru.

i'm interested what other people think of it who have heard it early.

i'm 3 tracks in and i like it alot.  very powerful. :thumbup:

I wasn't a huge fan of it and I still am not. It's not even close to their masterpiece, Lateralus, probably never will be...

Ive been hearing people say that the rest of the album (besides vicarious, the single) is a decoy by Tool, who has been expecting piracy ever since it happened to Lateralus. Not sure if there is anything to that, but its the kinda thing they would do (Maynard is an asshole, as well as a very funny man).

It was a little wierd listening to it at first because it sounds so different, but I love it more and more with each listen.

Still giving it a listen, like it a lot so far though. It takes a long time to appreciate Tool properly, like sometimes you need that moment of clarity where the music just clicks with you.

I personally don't think its fair to criticise a Tool track without having heard it on mushrooms, so I'm reserving my judgement for now.

It probably won't live up to Lateralus, but who cares? Glad to see they haven't really changed their style, it's still the same old Tool. I'm seeing them live in a couple months! Get in!

jambi and the pot is some of the best tool i've heard. lateralus is my least favourite tool album.

I'm really getting into this album, man. Loving it for what it is, not what it isn't. It is: kick-ass, beautiful, heavy, strange, catchy(?), honest, atmospheric, complex, interesting, and simply amazing.
I will definitely buy me a legit copy in a couple weeks. This is very good music, highly recommended.
