NO!!!! My Buddy is breaking up with his girlfriend...

Damn man they have been going out for like 2 years. And she is so cool. Normally i hate most of my buddys girlfriends but this girl man she is awesome. I am like the guy that drinks the most in my group and this girl can hang man. She also loves to like i take like 4 shots with her in like 15 minutes before everyone even comes over or her boyfriend starts drinking.

She really is a lot of fun in my opinion and fits in very well. The girl is a year older then my buddy and they have been dating 2 years. they go to seperate colleges but there like 30 mins from each other so they see each other a lot.

Long story short is my buddy got an internship this summer so hes not gonna be around all summer. So his girlfriend got pissed off which i agree with. I mean hes gonna be a soph next year is way too early for that shit. And since that point they have just been fighting and the end is near...

Although this guy knows how to talk with the ladys and it will be fun to go find hos with him i hope they dont break up

how so? they are in a serious relationship and see him for like a week out of 3 months of summer? thats not cool. Especially considering that they see each other like every other weekend as it is.

and theres no chance of him comming back to visit his GF over the summer? or his GF going out to wherever this guy is?

If it is really a 'strong, serious relationship', and the internship is only for a few months over the summer -- then suck it up and deal with it.

Getting work related expierence = key. Graduating Univ and having a few years worth of expierence under your belt = better job, higher pay, and better chance at getting a job once you graduate then the guy next to you who has zero expierence.

Hell, my parents are constantly apart for months at a time due to my dads work. He's away for a few months, then home for a few months, then away for a few months - and they have been married for 29 years now and it doesnt cause them that many problems and are still going strong.

I've also had long distance relationships where I'd see my partner once a month (if even), and still managed to make things work for a long time (and it wasnt distance that caused them to end, it was other issues).

If it is a serious relationship then, and this distance is only going to be for a few months

a: She wouldnt be getting pissy over a good opporunity for her man
b: They would find a way to see eachother, even if only once or twice a month

well his thing is 3 months straight. so she has to fly out or drive to go see him (like 2000 miles away). Its really unneccesary for a internship this early. the guy is pretty smart and motivated hes gonna get a good job anyways.

And he could have gotten something closer i would guess. I definitly wouldnt put up with it to be honest. And idk how you wouldnt work this out before applying for internships either...

it would be 2. I mean if they werent going out then i would most definitly go for this girl. She is hot and really cool. Shes the kind of girl i would want to be with. But since they were serious i wouldnt go for it. Also it wouldnt really fix the problem cause i go home for 3 months also after college ends lol.
