Yeah exactly. Flaming a mod in otd is perfectly fine. But that does give him the right to change a ban from a different forum from 7 days to 370+ days.

Of course I'm not talking about anything in specific and thats all hypothetical :smile:

We need to know without a shadow of a doubt where the line is...

It's OTD, "an experiment in controlled anarchy" (the closest we can get to free speech), so while we are there we should know what will get you banned and what shouldn't get you banned with some sort of reliability. And then no mod should ban anyone if they don't cross that line.

Define the rules please, and then take steps to make sure your mods act according to them, every time!

I openly spoke what I felt about a mod, in OTD, he called it "trolling". I called it speaking my mind using more than just 3 sentences.

I saw an injustice (electrode) , I spoke up, I got lynched the very next day.

The motivation was obvious...

Anyway, just hoping for a smoother experience for everyone on the Shroomery through addressing and tightening up a few loose ends..

Maybe that could happen if I say something about what I see... Who knows, I'll give it a whirl, no harm in trying..

These rules apply to the entire site.  As I understand it for your case, Microcosmatrix - your recipe involved a pinch of "On Post-Whoring & Flooding" with a dash of "On Harassment & Respect" .. had you not flooded the forum with threads directed squarely at Rono, and left it at whatever razzin' you nasty boys did together in the first place, you wouldn't have received a ban.

Sorry my man, we do try - but as for that "every time" line..  there are never any guarantees. 
No one here is full time, we are not machines, and we won't be perfect.


NEED I REMIND YA'LL... this is not a forum to contest ban action, and I don't see how accusing the staff of acting like the police is helping any.  Microcosmatrix, I'd wish you had the respect to send me a PM on the matter relating to your issue with Rono and OTD, rather than blurting it out here in the middle of a thread about thread locking!  I thought I made that point in my many words above :tongue:
