I talk to myself. It's my decision making processes.

ME1: What if I...
ME2: No you fucking idiot that wouldn't work because....
ME1: Well what if I switched hands....
ME2: You're not ambidextrous.
ME1: I can do it.

Then when I have the most effective/efficient/logical answer I am done.

I hear voices when I get baked... all the ambient noise from people outside and traffic and distant sirens tends to congeal into paranoid delusions.

I now have to avoid those kind of noises if I want to smoke... it's really annoying. I live right next to a busy street, that noise is not easy to avoid.

Beleive it or not, getting stoned at an apartment in the middle of a fucking cemetary, at night-time, was a better setting for me than my own bedroom.

Yeah, I dunno...
After witnessing a lot of textbook-worshipping by the Psychiatric Profession, I went and did a bunch of research on this myself.
Plenty of pre-modern and ancient cultures found this commonplace.
Some serious researchers think that at a definite time in history, the "Bi-Cameral Mind" which allowed people to receive in-the-head guidance from the deity of their choice, broke down.
Ever since, the divine-guidance meme hasn't worked so well.
Without doing the entire nerd routine and citing sources, think about these few examples of how hearing others' voices doesn't make you crazy.
Luke Skywalker heard Obi-Wan and Yoda. Shit, he even saw 'em. Nobody called that character crazy.
David Carradeen had flashbacks, mostly visual but also auditory, in the original Kung Fu series--and nobody found that odd.
Jeezus heard Big Daddy calling him "His good and faithful servant" while John the Baptist took him swimming with the crocodiles in the Jordan.
And one of the survivors of the Pentagon blast on 9/11 found his way out of the building following a voice in his head.
Crazy or sane?
Where does the line sit?
Depends on how "into it" you get, and who you hang out with.
We don't live in the ancient world, but plenty of people act like they do.

I was talking and laughing to myself a lot on the street yesterday while on acid.

Luckily, in NYC, no one gives a shit.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Last week, I was laying in bed at night going to sleep, and was pretty high. (I enjoy the dark stillness when its late and things wind down). Anyways I definitly heard at least two distinct voices. At first it was just ambient sounds and probably some sounds in my head, and eventually they meshed together and the voices started talking.

It was wierd yet fun. It's only happened to me one or two times before though.

I have tons of mind conversations with myself. It's mainly the "thinking out loud" type of conversation though.

But over there is the rock where the leprechaun tells me to burn things.

Myself I don't necessarily think that the hearing of voices constitutes a psychological problem, but it sometimes does.

The problem is that the nerdly science-minded folks who essentially decide the rules of human understanding are people who do not put much stock in miracles or such occurrences, so rather than explain it as such when people really do hear voices of a supernatural origin, they instead claim it to be the result of being batshit-fucking-loco  :crazy2:
