Just sitting at the outfitters, taking advantage of my free 30 minutes online with 10$ purchase, hitting the paddlers pub right on the AT here in a few.

Yeah man, I have a digi cam but I didn't bring my usb port, I just bought the biggest memory card I could find so I won't be putting up pics untill I get off the trail.

Thanks for the tunes man, really enjoying band of bees, brian wilson and built to spill, all of them are great but those have been sticking out a lot lately. Talking Heads drive me up the steppest of mountains, that is my motivational music when I need a kick in the ass.

Time to hit the hills again, town is getting me down.

Yeah I'm doing every last inch of it.

I'm at 412.0 now, I refuse to blue-blaze, yellow-blaze or brown blaze. Maybe a little pink-blazing here and there but that's it. I won't slack pack, old fasioned purist style.

I'm skipping all these festivals and concerts along the way(besides hiker fests like trail days), I wish I wasn't but I've seen enough concerts, this year I hike.

Sounds like a good way to skip a section or loose interest/focus.

Just finished my first 30 mile day.

God damn, I'm going to yo-yo hike this trail till I die, I couldn't imagine anything cooler than this. This IS the life.

Wow man, I gotta say I'm a little envious.
That's awesome that you are so focused on your goal, and are living life.. how do I say... as it was meant to be? I really want to thru-hike the trail sometime.. maybe next year. Based on everything I've come to understand.. it's nothing short of a complete life-changing experience.

You should be passing through the Shenandoah's now? Or coming up on it at least... I have very fond memories of those mountains from my childhood. I've section hiked parts of shenandoah national park and that's probably one of my favorite places in the world. (that I've been to..) You're gonna absolutely love it.

May you be injury and blister-free, and blessed with trail magic the entire way!

South Virginia, I got a ways before I'm near WV.

Shroomism I'm coming up on Shenandoah but I'm not exactly sure how much further I have before I get there. It's a great time, I'm sure you'd love it. Lot's of folks dropping out and I just don't understand it, oh well, not for everyone I guess.
